Dysfunctionality

Family being one of our values, we decided to discuss some common family dysfunctions.  I chose blame and shame, comparisons & competition, love that has to be earned, perfectionism, and triangulation as the dysfunctions for us to discuss.

I invited our target area with a mailer (one that focused on the cold weather and the warm feeling we have at Embody).  It proved to be a great series that helped us have wonderful conversation around scripture.  I believe it was very helpful in giving families some help in overcoming some of the common problems that occur.  If nothing else, it shed light on the subject and made the common dysfunctions more talkable in real life.
